Zipperump-a-Zoo

Well it's actually a story about a guy named Professor Wormbog. He travels all around looking for a creature called a Zipperump-a-Zoo.

I thought I'd share this book because, well, it's a good book. And also, it's really really old. It used to be Uncle Dodo's book. He got it from Auntie Barb a long long time ago (1983! Prehistoric times!)

It has been read and loved a lot.

Mom took a break from packing and spent some time putting it back together with the packing tape. Chunks are missing, and a whole page had to be put back in.

Sometimes I think we're hardest on the things we love most.

The first Lego set I ever had
was a Lego City space shuttle. I play with Legos all the time. Kai does too. Kai says he "wuvvs Ian's weggos!"

Did you know my light saber does this cool thing when I wave it around in a picture?

Time to join the digital revolution. Got an app for the iPhone that will let us post updates anytime, anywhere! Maybe that will help get more stuff on here.

The house is coming right along. Mom & Dad say we should be able to start moving next week! I'm SO EXCITED!

I have a whole lot of pictures of the house that mom and dad are collecting. Can't wait to show you my new room! In the meantime, here's some other good stuff:

Time went by quickly. We enjoyed lots of candy canes, cocoa, went to the zoo lights, drove around looking at lights in neighborhoods, made decorations for the house, watched Christmas specials, and just basically had an amazing month! Even though we’re still waiting for our house to be done and weren’t expecting to still be in this little place, it all worked out really well.

Hey, then it was Christmas Eve! I was surprised it came so quickly. I was just telling mom that it seemed like just yesterday that we started the advent calendar.

Time to open our Christmas Eve presents…IMG_7787

Matching pajamas! (Angry Birds pjs, of course…)

Just getting in a last-minute plug for Santa…IMG_7797

We tried to get Kai to hold up the “Nice” side of the pillow too, but he just wouldn’t.

Put out cookies and milk for Santa. Read The Night Before Christmas. Rushed through bedtime. Turned out the light at an unprecedentedly early hour. Climbed into bed with mom and dad at 2:25. At 2:30, asked what time it was. At 2:35, asked mom if we could get up at 6:00 to start Christmas. Then Dad came back in from re-settling Kai. At 2:40, asked dad if we could get up at 6:00 to start Christmas. Asked what time it was at 2:45. Was told to stay still and stop wiggling. Kicked out of bed by 3.

I nestled snugly back in my bed and dreamed of wonderful things until dad woke me up at 7. Expressed extreme frustration that he hadn’t awoken me earlier. But anyway, Merry Christmas!
